Ciao A Tutti!

Welcome to Sunshine & Ravioli, my own little corner of the internet. Here you’ll find a little bit of everything I love–recipes, crafts, photos, Italy, and things that just make me smile.

Born & raised in Kansas, I never imagined the impossible turns my life would take someday. In 2008, about 9 months after graduating from college, I met my husband. Flavio is from Vercelli, a small city in northern Italy. One year later, he proposed to me in the courtyard of a castle overlooking a village in the French Alps. In 2010, on the two-year anniversary of the day we met, we were married in a sweet, simple ceremony at a botanical garden in my hometown.

A few of my favorite things are: books, wooden spoons, the color red, fancy shoes, pretty dresses, Christmas ornaments, sunny days, fairy tales, the song “Pennies from Heaven,” embroidery, cappuccino, 12 Angry Men, new recipes, DoodleJump, limoncello, and polka dots.

I’ve loved reading this! Just stumbled upon it.
Haven’t seen you and Flavio for a long time. We would love to meet for lunch or dinner sometime.
    So glad things are well!
And a great, GREAT list of favorite things.

    grande bacio a tutto!

Ciao Ze! Thank you for your sweet comment!

Man, you’ve just reminded me how badly I need to update this blog. So many things have happened recently! We’re actually leaving for Italy in about 13 hours, and as soon as we get back in May, we’re packing up & moving to Lawrence. Flavio got a new job there, with the newspaper.

How are you, Roberto, and Pilar? We absolutely have to get together sometime before we move. We keep meaning to go to Luciano’s, but somehow always have a catastrophe on the way there (most recently, hail damage to my car!). We miss you all!

      Baci! Buona Pasqua!
